Los Angeles artist Big Wild has teamed up with Swedish electro pop star Tove Styrke for new single ‘Aftergold’, available now on digital outlets via Ministry Of Sound/Foreign Family.
Having made his name as a regarded beatsmith and producer, with compositions that have clocked up millions of plays online, alongside high profile remixes for the likes of Hundred Waters, Griz and Ludacris, Big Wild introduced an instrumental version of ‘Aftergold’ in 2015 as the second release on Foreign Family, the prestigious musical and visual artist collective helmed by the duo behind ODESZA. The symphonic cut-up hip hop and soul beat went on to become an online sensation, with a staggering eight million plays on Spotify, over six million streams across Soundcloud and YouTube, going to #1 on the Hype Machine chart and receiving support from tastemakers including Stereogum and Earmilk.
The new single version sees ‘Aftergold’ reimagined as a bonafide pop extravaganza with the addition of 22-year-old artist and vocalist Tove Styrke who released her critically lauded second album ‘Kiddo’ last year. The main-stage sized sonics and happy-go-lucky swagger of the beat are married with equally majestic and effortlessly addictive melody, making for this years ultimate feel-good party stereo track.
