We caught up with Irish duo, Belter's Only, ahead of their highly anticipated headline set on Friday 24 March. With their smash hit 'Make Me Feel Good' taking the world by storm, the duo talked about their love for house music and R&B, their preference for playing at festivals over clubs, and their upcoming album.

Where are you both in the world right now?

We are both in Ireland

What was the last club you both played at and which country was it in?

We played in Camp & Furnace Liverpool before Christmas

What’s the music that you listened to growing up, that you still listen to today?

We have both grown up listening to house music and R&B

In three words, describe the minute before you walk on stage.

Overwhelming, Euphoric, Exciting

What’s the one song (by another artist) you wish you’d written or recorded first?

It would probably have to be Duke Dumont - Ocean Drive

"Make Me Feel Good" is a smash hit and blew up in different corners of the world, how did that track come together?

The track was made in an attic in Drimnagh, Dublin and it was a sample taken from an old house track

You’re ordering a take-away, what do you get?

We would order pizza usually

How do you wind down after a gig?

After a show, we usually wind down by spending time with family and friends

You’ve played different venues and spaces all around the world but what do you prefer playing at, festivals or clubs and why?

We tend to prefer playing at festivals because they hold more people than most club so it creates  more of an atmosphere

What projects do you have coming up this year?

We are currently working on an album, and are working towards releasing that. But we have some other bits in the works to come first of course

Finally... What can you promise fans ahead of your set on Friday 24th March, will you be playing any unreleased music?

We will be playing new music for sure, and just bringing positive energy and vibes, we can’t wait!!!

As the interview with Belter's Only comes to a close, one thing is clear: these talented Irish musicians are ones to watch. With their infectious energy and undeniable talent, their live set is not to be missed. So, music lovers, mark your calendars and grab your tickets now for what is sure to be a night to remember.
