We've got a really special SoundOf mix this week, from former Ministry of Sound resident, Mark Wilkinson.
Mark held a residency at the club from 1996 - 1998, a period which also saw him bag a UK Singles Chart Top 10 hit with his Dab Hands remix of Lou Reed's - Satellite of Love". His DJ career saw him tour the world and he was living the superstar DJ lifestyle until at the age of 33 he tragically collapsed from an incurable disease. He was in constant agony and living on painkillers, which eventually led to bankruptcy, depression, loneliness and suicidal thoughts.
It is because of this that Mark rebuilt his life and career and now works as a Health & Happiness Coach, helping others lead a happy and fulfilled life. His debut book ‘Life Remixed’ is out in February and shares the strategies he used to recover and aims to help others make positive change - be it addiction, health, relationships, money or any challenges around negative thinking.
