As lockdown continues some forward-thinking brains are designing new ways to facilitate socially distanced raving. Last week we took a look at the Micrashell Futuresuit and this week we bring you news of a new drive-in rave concept in Germany.

 

World Club Dome is a festival that takes place in Frankfurt every June. As the 2020 edition was rescheduled for 2021, the team behind the festival devised a new way to offer a live music experience to their fans. Over two nights, they invited 1,000 guests to an exclusive party at Düsseldorf’s drive-in cinema.

In an area, the size of two football fields, 500 cars with a driver and one passenger each, were allowed to catch sets from a range of local DJs. Accompanied by fireworks, CO2, fire cannons, lasers and  “the world’s largest hydraulic screen”, the first-of-its-kind rave was a roaring success.
