The toughest interview in dance music returns! Stepping up this week is the incredible Boston Bun! Best know for singles "Missing You" and "Spread Love (Paddington)". Boston came up via the incredible Ed Banger Records - home of Justice, Cassius and SebastiAn.

Now releasing on his own imprint, Circa '99, Boston Bon has been championed by tastemakers across the board including Diplo, Mark Ronson, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe. During lockdown, Boston Bun recorded a special live stream to raise money for Black Minds Matter, a mental health charity supporting the UK's black community.

I think Larry Heard has produced the deepest house music ever made. 

 

What does your music smell like?

Depending on the track but something between a small dark and sweaty club and a field in the summertime.

Pedro Winter of course. He’s my favorite B2B partner

 

How do you describe your job to your grandmother?

I make music that makes people dance.

Who is your celebrity crush?

From 10 to 16 I was pretty sure I would marry Gwen Stefani one day.

Where is the strangest place you’ve DJed?

A famous French actress’ birthday party. She’s a fan and I was the surprise. Really weird.

Usually too far away haha.
