    The original Hed Kandi series returns in 2013, celebrating the finest true club classics that once paved the way for a whole generation of music lovers. As 2013 marks 25 years since the Second Summer of Love in 1988 and 1989, Back to Love, a Hed Kandi concept that has become an institution amongst house music connoisseurs worldwide, has returned. What’s more with the 90s revival in full swing and the sounds of the 80s still influencing new music today, we felt it was time to wipe the dust off many of the 80s and 90s records that we once loved.

    This superbly crafted 3CD masterpiece will bring back memories of the legendary soul-infused house and hip hop anthems to have hit the dance floor.     We start at the beginning of authentic house music with the Rulin disc which encapsulates an array of legendary such as Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Layo & Bushwaka and Masters at Work.

    A new wave of electronic music has recently been making waves on the club scene. With names such as post-dubstep, UK Funky and the more definitive, Future Bass, being used to describe the new genre, young fresh talented DJs have been dominating this new force in electronic music across the UK. With acts such as Disclosure and Rustie making the Radio 1 B-List and well respected DJs such as Annie Mac and Pete Tong championing the sound, this is the perfect time to create a compilation of all these up and coming sounds.

    With strong connections to garage, breakbeat and dubstep and often incorporating RnB vocal cuts, future bass has a very recognisable sound, but one that’s often hard to describe because it just doesn’t sound like anything else!
