OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES
These “Official Competition Rules” govern your (“you”/”your”) participation in the Ministry of Sound Group Limited of 103 Gaunt Street, London SE1 6DP (“MOS”) “Rhodes Competition” (the “Competition”). Participation in the Competition by submitting your name and email address (as described in more detail below) constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Competition Rules. It is important that you read and understand them.
1. Who is Eligible?
Entrants must be over the age of sixteen (16). The Competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom currently living in the United Kingdom. Any person who is an employee of MOS or an immediate family member of an employee of MOS or any other person who is directly connected with MOS, being any advertising promotion agency or supplier of the Prize (as defined below) for the Competition, shall be ineligible to enter.
2. How to Enter
(a) To enter the Competition go to the official Rhodes Facebook or Twitter or Instagram pages (the “Competition Page(s)”), and follow the instructions on the Competition Page(s). To enter the competition, you must follow the URL as set out on the Competition Page and sign up to the Rhodes database, you will then receive and email with a URL which you should follow to fill in a submission form. You should fill in the submission form with your full name; age; email address; whether you will be available to attend the Prize at the stated time; and whether you are able to travel to the location of the Prize and you should then submit the form.
(b) The Competition is open between 00:00 GMT on 6 February 2015, and 23:59 GMT on 9 February 2015 (“Closing Date”) (the “Competition Term”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
(c) Entry to the Competition is through the official “Rhodes” social media platforms. MOS makes no warranty as to the availability and/or functionality of such platform and/or website. You are responsible for all internet, mobile phone and all other costs incurred by you in entering the Competition.
(d) You may enter the Competition only once. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. By entering, you agree to be bound by MOS’ selection process which is at random out of the entrants meet the following criteria: (i) are available to attend the Prize at the stated time and date; and (ii) are able to arrange their own travel to and from the location of the Prize. You are responsible for the cost (if any) of sending your Competition entry to us. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
(a) MOS shall not take any responsibility for any entry which is illegible, misdirected, lost for technical or other reasons or received after the Competition Term.
(b) Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Competition and any person who does not comply with these Official Competition Rules, will be ineligible for a Prize and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
4. Information about You
By entering the Competition you warrant that:
(a) you meet the entry requirements for the Competition;
(b) MOS shall have the right to use your name and likeness in connection with your entry and the promotion of the Competition; and
(c) you indemnify and hold MOS harmless from and against any costs, claims, actions, loss, damage or expense (including reasonably incurred legal expenses) which MOS may suffer or incur by reason of any breach by you of any of your warranties, obligations or representations made by you in connection with the Competition and/or pursuant to these Official Competition Rules.
(a) After the Closing Date, the MOS team will select twenty (20) entries at random from all entries that satisfy these Official Competition Rules. The persons named as having submitted such entries shall be the “Winners”.
(b) The prize for the Winners shall be the chance to see the artist ‘Rhodes’ perform on 13 February 2015 at the recording studio (the “Performance”) where he recorded his upcoming album (the “Prize”). The Performance will take place at The Lodge, Fraisthorpe, Bridlington, East Yorkshire, YO15 3QT. The Winner(s) shall be responsible for any travel and/or accommodation required by Winners in order to attend the Performance.
(d) The Winners will be notified by email no later than forty eight (48) hours following the Closing Date and given further details of the Prize. MOS (or its representatives’) decision shall be final and binding in all regards and no correspondence shall be entered into.
(e) If a Winner cannot be contacted within six (6) hours of first notification attempt, or in the event that it transpires that an original Winner is found to have breached these Official Competition Rules, MOS shall be entitled to select an alternative Winner at its sole discretion from the participants who submitted an entry that complies with these Official Competition Rules. The names of the Winners will be available on request.
(f) The Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. MOS does not make any warranty about the Prizes and there are no substitutions or cash redemptions for the Prizes. MOS further reserves the right to substitute the Prizes at any time to a value it deems appropriate.
(g) MOS may at its sole discretion cancel or modify the Competition, without liability.
(h) If a sufficient number of eligible entries (as determined by MOS in its sole discretion) are not received by the Closing Date, MOS reserves the right not to award any or all of the Prizes. All taxes levied on the Prizes awarded in the Competition (including, but not limited to, income taxes) are the sole responsibility of the Winners. All entrants agree to comply fully with each provision in these Official Competition Rules. No cash alternative to the Prize is available to the Winner.
6. Your Release of MOS from Any and All Liability.
By entering the Competition you agree that:
(a) MOS shall not be liable for costs, expenses, loss, damage or injuries of any kind resulting from:
(i) acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of the Prizes/loss or damage to your property during or after the Performance;
(ii) your participation in the Competition;
(iii) individual, joint or collective technical malfunctions of the telephone network and/or transmission line, internet connections, computer equipment, hardware and/or software; or
(iv) any delay or distortion of an entry resulting from data transmissions that are garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, mutilated, delayed, corrupted, mechanically duplicated, illegible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Competition Rules.
(b) MOS shall not be liable for damage to your property due, either directly or indirectly, to your participation in the Competition or your attendance at the Performance. MOS reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition in the event that you do not comply with the provisions of the Official Competition Rules.
These Official Competition Rules are governed by the law of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England in connection with disputes arising out of or in connection with this Official Competition Rules.
