"While many DJs merely follow fashion, the most memorable are those than not only demolish dance floors consistently, but those whose mixes stand solid outside the realms of a club. Cosmo is one such DJ. She shuns fads for a more visceral approach to her craft. And what a craftswoman she is!"
- June Joseph, XLR8R Magazine
Throughout her career Cosmo has demonstrated a deep understanding of music and has consistently been profiled as an artist of integrity. She has received major kudos from the best DJs and producers on the planet and is one of the only artists to ever guest at The Loft and Body & Soul, two of New York City’s most legendary parties. She held one of the most revered dance mix radio shows in her native New York for 7 years. Since her move to London she has been featured on some of the best radio stations and in the highest profile clubs in the UK and Europe.
Cosmo’s compilation on Yellow, “The Disco Tech of Cosmo”, celebrates her musical heritage by running the gamut from electro to disco to soul and received rave reviews in the press. Time Out London has described it as “One of the best comps of the year” and as Compilation of the Month, DJ Magazine noted “Cosmo has the spirit of the Loft in her Body and Soul”. This is Cosmo’s third foray into the compilation world as she co-produced the critically acclaimed “David Mancuso Presents The Loft” series on Nuphonic and compiled and mixed “New York Afterhours: A Later Shade of Deep” on Nervous in 1998.
Many of the productions on Bitches Brew are co-produced by Cosmo such as Bambú’’s “The Real Thing” and “Elevate Your Mind” and “Mistaken” by Ch’i which is the follow up to her first Ch’i production “Loneliness” on Tommy Musto’s Suburban label in 1999. She also co-produced Bitches Brew’s debut artist Jinadu and has remixed S.U.M.O.’s “Ntujjo”. Along with Danny Wang, Cosmo produced “Lost in C Minor” as Light Fantastic on Playhouse and is also part of the Tidal production team for Disorient.
Cosmo regularly broadcasts a monthly mix on top Tokyo radio station Shibuya FM. Alongside this regular program she produces a plethora of guest mixes for international radio stations including Sirius Satellite Radio in the U.S.A., NRK in Norway, Radio Two in Italy, Denmark Radio Three, Studio Brussel, Soul Patrol in Germany, and WBAI in New York City among others.
