Renaissance launch new London residency @ Ministry of Sound 16th February 2008

29 January 2008

After a road block debut at Ministry of Sound in December with the awesome Sasha, legendary clubbing institution Renaissance return to officially launch their exciting new London residency @ Ministry on Saturday 16th February.

Supplying the soundtrack to the evening in the main room will be one of the defining names in progressive house Satoshi Tomiie, a DJ/producer whose contribution to the scene is unquestionable. Moving on from his days as one of the Def Mix Crew, Satoshi has gone on to develop his own style, setting up his label Saw Records as a platform to showcase ideas and creativity that are more experimental and underground. His current release Solar Wind is an example of this direction – we cant wait to hear him smash it on our soundsystem! New kid on the block Jim Rivers is in support, alongside Anglo-Italian double act Audiofly - one of the hottest underground house and techno acts on the global circuit, these guys have forged their own unique sound made up of deep basslines, concise kicks, jolting riffs and atmospheric, captivating melodies, which has seen them rise through dance music’s ranks to become one of the most talked about and sought after artists to come out of London in recent years.

Over in the Bar King Unique bring individual rough-edged underground house, promising an off the hook decks’s’n’fx set to please all. Our long standing resident Marc Hughes and Sonny Warton complete the line-up with Coordinated in the Baby Box.

The perfect excuse to stay out late!
