The second in Ministry Of Sound’s acclaimed Inspired compilation series comes from irrepressible Australian DJ/producer duo NERVO.
Having first established their credentials writing hit records for the likes of David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Ke$ha and even Kylie Minogue, they have gone on to cement themselves as one of the most exciting dance music acts in the world.
Having enjoyed a series of Beatport No.1 hits since the unparalleled success of 2013 single "Like Home" alongside Nicky Romero, a track that topped the charts for three weeks, NERVO’s inaugural full length outing for Ministry of Sound represents an exciting landmark in an already burgeoning career.
With the compilation series giving artists a reputable platform to tell their own story through records, highlighting those that have inspired them most on their respective journeys to the top, NERVO’s mixes offer up a compelling new insight into their development as globally acclaimed artists.
NERVO’s Inspired piece spans over two mixes, with the first covering 'Present & Future inspirations' and the second covering 'Past Inspirations', with both exploring a fully comprehensive mix of styles and sounds.
A whole host of classic club tracks from across the wider reaches of electronic music soundtracks their ‘Past Inspirations’ Mix. Including Fatboy Slim’s iconic "Praise You" and the late Frankie Knuckles’ seminal house jam "Your Love", NERVO’s early inspirations are clearly deep-rooted in genuine dance floor culture.
Looking to the future, the duo take in a stellar selection of upfront dancefloor cuts right across their ‘Present and Future Inspirations’ mix, offering up tracks from the likes of US stars Deorro, Steve Aoki, Showtek and Mercer, as well as hotly-tipped UK duo Dusky and a slew of their own material, including the unreleased & exclusive track: NERVO feat Duane Harden – Sunshine Thru Rain Clouds.
Flawlessly mixed and typically immersive, NERVO’s Inspired compilation serves as a fitting follow up to Tommy Trash’s debut Inspired piece. Joining the dots between classic dance floor sounds and an innovative new concept, it represents an exciting new chapter for NERVO and continues Ministry of Sound’s reputation for keeping their ear firmly to the ground.
