Meet The Last Disco Ball Manufacturer In America

Seventy year old Yolanda Baker hand crafts every disco ball produced in America.

Get an eye opening insight into the life of America's sole remaining disco ball maker

Seventy year old Yolanda Baker is the subject of a new mini doc focused on her life's work - the disco ball. Affectionately known as Yo Yo, she's been woking at Louisville's Omega National Products for nearly 50 years.

In disco's heyday she was part of a 20 strong team who produced more than 25 disco balls a day. However as disci's popularity wained and China began to flood the market with cheap alternatives, the team shrank.

Now Yolanda is the only remaining disco ball maker in America and personally fulfils each order that comes into Omega National Products. Over the years she has hand crafted disco balls from everyone from Beyonce to Studio 54.
