Solarstone puts together six tracks for six hours ahead of his all night set this Friday

Countless seminal productions by Solarstone have formed the backdrop for not only The Gallery’s most memorable moments, but all Trance events around the world. After smashing six hour solo sets in NYC and Melbourne, it's the turn of Great Britain. Solarstone will emulate Mat Zo and Gabriel & Dresden to craft an open till close session all night long and for the first time ever in the UK!

Obligatory anthems "Seven Cities" and "Solarcoaster" will be cued up in celebration, plus of course work of the present era which has sustained Solarstone’s famed Pure Trance. Increasing the magnitude for this inaugural event of 2017, Solarstone’s whole set will be showcased in Dolby Atmos Sound. Following Infected Mushroom and Mat Zo to have utilised this ground breaking technology at The Gallery, a massive sixty speakers on top of Ministry’s already colossal installation for a total of twenty two audio channels.

Ahead of this unparalleled clubbing experience Solarstone has picked six tracks for six hours of Dolby Atmos Sound.

Hour 1: BT - "Artifracture"

Solarstone: One of my favourite artists, and this extract of his latest album is proper head-nodding, beard-stroking material, perfect for opening up. It’s classed as ‘Electronic’ on iTunes - but I’d call this trance.

Hour 2: Slam Duck - "Tonight"

Tracks like this are the reason I set up Pure Progressive, the deeper sister label to Pure Trance. It has a wonderful deep, progressive trance / progressive house (the two genres being almost indistinguishable at times) vibe to it, and is great for easing people gently into the trance state.

Hour 3: Solarstone & Gai Barone - "Fata Morgana"

My collaboration with the wonderful Italian Gai Barone, from Pure Trance Vol 4. This is one I am looking forward to treating with the ATMOS system, it’s a hypnotically woven tapestry with precise & highly polished production and sounds absolutely huge on a large & detailed sound system - perfect for the one at Ministry of Sound.

Hour 4: Ludovico Einaudi - "Two Trees" (John O’Callaghan Remix)

One of John’s finest in my opinion, a sublime take on this piano piece from Einaudi. This fits in perfectly to what I do when deep into my sets, it’s very immersive, very spacious, beautifully melodic, but not aggressive.

Hour 5: Factor B - "Endless"

The trance is a lot harder at this point, more aggressive, more intense. This one was only released on Pure Trance this week but I’ve been hammering it in my sets for months.

Hour 6: Leftfield - "Song of Life" (John Askew Remix)

Tracks by producers like Askew, Kearney, Sneijder & Atkinson dominate the last part of my longer sets, they have the full-on impact I need but are also meticulously produced by people who understand what works at this time of night. John did an amazing job with this unofficial remix.

Solarstone will be playing open to close on Friday 6th January, get tickets here.
