Nina Kraviz, Ricardo Villalobos, Âme and more are heading back to the beach
At this time of year in the UK it can be hard to latch onto even the concept of sunshine, never mind blissful days spent with sun, sea and sand. But as a timely reminder, than there's more to live than November, SMX festival have announced their first wave of acts for 2017.
After a universally praised inaugural outing this year, the Saint Martin shindig is back for even more beach vibes. Where is Saint Martin? Well a quick google has told us it's in the Caribbean and looks like exactly the sort of place you'd move to after winning the lottery.
It's not just the paradisal location that sets SXM apart, however, they've lined up an impressive collection of heavy duty house and techno artists too. 2017 will see Nina Kraviz, Ricardo Villalobos, Âme (live), RPR Soundsystem, Lee Burridge, Soul Clap, Honey Dijon, Black Coffee on the decks.
And - for some reason - you don't fancy spending all your time soaking in the sunshine to a 4/4 beat you can always pass some time enjoying the exquisite, fresh local cuisine; revelling in the jumble of French, Dutch and Caribbean culture on the island; or getting involved in a wealth of other activities including kite surfing, mountain biking and water-sports. Where do we sign up?
