AiAiAi have quietly become the headphone darling of the dance music world. We first came across them after Tourist told us they were "the first DJ headphones that don’t look horrendous." The minimal design has attracted followers from across the DJ spectrum including Richie Hawtin, Skream, Kaytranada, Marcel Dettman and A-Trak.

The Danish company have been on a mission to simply the headphone market by selling their TMA-2 headphones in a modular format. This means customers pick and choose which components to suit their own listening needs. It's also handy for if, like us, you often loose or break parts of the headphone.

Now keeping their eye firmly on the future, they've announced a new headband which will allow new and existing TMA-2s to connect wirelessly to devices over bluetooth.

Clearly geared to appease distraught Apple users after the tech giant's war on useful ports, the new headband will not only be wireless, but also include a USB C port for charging - which actually makes them more compatible with the Apple ecosystem than any of their own audio products.

The HM05 headband is currently in preproduction and AiAiAi have set up a Kickstarter to help fund the development.
