"Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" Turned Ten

Fedde Le Grand's iconic anthem, "Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit" came out a staggering ten years ago yesterday. The track, which will be best remembered for its square-wave bassline and that iconic video. The track topped the charts in Belgium, Finland, Hungary and Britain. Released on our own Data Records, and became our 7th UK No.1 Single.

Police Shutdown Rave In An Active Railway Tunnel

Police in Bath have had to shut down an illegal rave after they were called to the railway line connecting Bristol and Bath. 200 people were risking their lives by partying in a tunnel on the train tracks on Saturday night. The railway line was closed as police attempted to move on the party. Officers eventually cleared the party by 6AM after issuing a closure notice. 

Sia and Diplo Release A New Track

When Sia and Diplo appear on a track together there’s no doubt the outcome will be something that’ll make you feel like you’ve been dipped in either chocolate or tar. ‘Waving Goodbye’ is as heart wrenching as we’ve come to expect from a singer who excels at pulling on heart strings. Produced for a new fashion-cum-horror film, ‘The Neon Demon’, it’ll sit on a soundtrack next to Cliff Martinez. One to watch out for.

An EDM Variety Show Is Taking China By Storm

A new music reality show, Heroes Of Remix, has debuted to rave reviews. The show has an X-Factor feel with an EDM and Chinese twist. The show is a talent competitio that invites aspiring singers and DJs to come together to make Chinese-orientated electronic music. In each episode eight acts go head to head and viewers vote on who should go through, the winning act is then included on a companion compilation.
