Legend Steve Davis To DJ At Glastonbury

Forget Adele on the main stage, go see a six-time snooker champion dropping Aphex Twin in a pub.

Steve has been making a name for himself in underground dance circles

Fresh off his first ever set at the now defunct Bloc Weekender, snooker star Steve Davis, has revealed he'll be DJing the Stonebridge Bar during this year's Glastonbury.

The six-time world snooker champion and his Bloc debut were the subject of a BBC mini doc, Steve Davis: Snookerstar DJ.

When asked what he’ll be playing at the fest, he told the BBC:

“Stuff that’s a bit more complicated and a little bit more leftfield than ‘doof, doof, doof’.” Davis, who presented a pool competition at this year’s Bloc, also said: “It’s not necessarily techno. We’re playing some stuff that’s electronic and some that will appeal that people who are into IDM.”

Although we're fast approaching celebrity DJ fatigue, after everyone from Paris Hilton to The Chuckle Brothers have taken up the decks, Steve has real credentials after hosting a show on 6 Music and a large personal collection of obscure techno.
