Calvin Harris has been juggling questions of new music
In the wake of "This Is What You Came For" - his decidedly low key release with Rihanna - the DJ and producer appeared on Radio One to talk about his plans for new music.
Future collaborators include “probably John Newman”, who is currently in the throes of promoting his own song of the summer, a collaboration with Nile Rogers and Sigala called "Give Me Your Love".
He also name checked the lesser spotted Dizzee Rascal as a potential collaborator. The pair last appeared together eight years ago on "Dance Wiv Me", and may be reuniting after some ‘persuasion’ from the Harris Camp.
Purists will be pleased to hear that he’s ruled out putting out a track with his girlfriend, the ubiquitous Taylor Swift. Despite her joining in on some free marketing for "This Is What You Came For" (she appeared wearing a bomber jacket embroidered with its artwork before release), Calvin has said he “can’t see” a collaboration happening.
Seeing as Swift’s last foray in dance music spawned a thousand goat memes, perhaps it’s a good thing the pair aren’t joining hands in the studio too soon.
