Paul Van Dyk Remains Hospitalised

The trance DJ fell from a six metre height and was air lifted to a hospital in Amsterdam.

Paul Can Dyk remains in hospital after a fall at the ASOT Festival in Utrecht

Video footage shows the DJ climbing onto decks that were apparently six metres in height, only to fall out of shot after what looks like a miss-footing.

The 44-year-old DJ was then air lifted to hospital with head and neck injuries, causing great concern to the dance music community.

Festival organiser Armin Van Buuren closed the main stage for the rest of the festival, posting on Facebook to confirm the news.

After a period of silence and mounting concern, Van Dyk’s representatives have taken to his Facebook to post an update, confirming that he is in a stable condition, and that more news will come at the end of the week.

In the meantime, we wish the trance legend a speedy recovery. We're knee deep in this essential recording from 1999, recorded live in our club.
