Tiga will collaborate with Hudson Mohawke and Paranoid London on No Fantasy Required
One of the craziest music videos of the last few years has got to be "Bugatti". The guy behind the hypnotic head nodder is Tiga, a Canadian producer and DJ whose list of official remixes stacks into the double figures. Known for bringing his sparse techno edge to pop music, creating music that’s full with self-awareness.
On new album No Fantasy Required, Tiga will play in the main arena of pop music whilst circling its edges in a way that only he knows how. He name checks the late, great Bowie as someone he’d love to play songs to, and explores the leap from youth to responsibility in tracks like “Blondes Have More Fun”.
Of course, the album finds a place for "Bugatti". Viewed a couple of million times and re-recorded with King Push providing lyrics, it’s been responsible for bringing Tiga into the music libraries of the most unsuspecting of fans.
No Fantasy Required will be released on the 4th of March. You can listen to the first release "Planet E", featuring none other than Hudson Mohawke, right here.
