Hey there, what are you up to?

Hi, yes good day to you too. We are currently enjoying a nice jet lag after our Asia tour!

You were last at The Gallery in September 2014 alongside Bassjackers. What can you remember from the night?

Definitely when we threw in our record together with Martin Garrix, Helicopter. It was such an epic moment to see everybody from front to back go nuts.

This Friday sees a Doorn Records showcase in The Box. How did you first get involved with Sander and his label?

A couple of years ago we joined David Lewis Productions for bookings, and starting doing warm up shows for Sander. We immediately hit it off with him and started talking more about music. Then we decided to do a record on Doorn Records called MAX AMMO. After that collaborations came like Guitar track which was The WMC track of that year and we also went on a Canadian bus tour together along with Julian Jordan.

How would you say the Firebeatz sound fits within DubVision and Sander’s himself?

Where Dubvision is hitting the more melodic big room sound and Sander is going more deep and techno. We play Housy/groovy/Harder Edgier stuff. So the whole night will be complete music wise, we fit right in there!

Hopefully your new track "Tornado" will be getting a play, how did its concept arise?

We were playing around with this crazy horn sample in our hotel room and we finally nailed the drop. So we wanted a minimalistic hard hitting drop that still sounded organic. We finished this track on the road and gave it the first play in Las Vegas. We thought OK, WOW, this shit goes hard and decided to put it out. Tijs (Tiesto) loved it and was like, "hey lets put this out on Musical Freedom".

Finally, use three words to describe your forthcoming set?

Firebeatz will be supporting Sander van Doorn and his Doorn Records family this Friday at The Gallery, get your tickets here.
