Jauz Speaks Out About Mad Decent Boat Party Victim

Fresh from playing Ministry of Sound this weekend, Jauz has posted a statement on his Facebook page about his encounter with Kaylyn Rose Sommer, the 24 year old who allegedly jumped from the deck of the Mad Decent Boat Party.

Steve Angello Drops Half Album, Debuts Emotional Music Video And Slays Troll

It's been a busy week for Steve Angello. The dance music world has been awaiting his debut post-SHM solo album ever since the supergroup disbanded in 2013. Well it seems that the album, Wild Youth, is finally finished and Steve surprised the world on Friday by dropping the first six of the proposed thirteen tracks on his SoundCloud. He also dropped a surprisingly emotional video for "Remember" which seems to deal with his post SHM feelings AND he managed to backhand a troll into submission on his Facebook page. You can read that owange here.

SBTRKT Released A Seven Year Old Remix Of Adele

Over the weekend it seems masked producer, SBTRKT, was doing a spot of tidying up and came across this absolute banger of a remix from way back in 2008. Considering this mix came out a full three years before his debut album, it's interesting to see that he already had that fully-formed signature sound that would make him a breakout success. Unfortunately it came a few days too late to be included in our rundown of the best ever Adele remixes, but you can read the rest of them here.

Jack Ü & Bieber Win Best Collaboration At American Music Awards

Diplo himself called the track “the strangest collaboration of all time” when collecting the award, which only goes to prove the advances EDM has made into the pop music landscape.

Grammy Award winning artist and proto-hipster, Moby, opened his very own vegan restaurant in LA this weekend. Little Pine is a restaurant that Moby hopes will promote the vegan lifestyle by offering food that "non vegans find hopefully love". The restaurant will focus on Mediterranean-inspired food and the interior will be decorated with Moby's own photography. Moby, real name Richard Hall, has been a vegan for 28 years and is a renowned animal rights campaigner.

The Guardian Have Decided That Trance Is "Making A Comeback"

The Guardian have ran a piece interviewing Evian Christ about his Trance Party tour and Rustie about the trance influences in EVENIFYOUDONTBELIEVE and have concluded that the genre is "making a comeback". While it's nice that the wider media world is taking more of an interest in dance music culture, it'd be nice if they interviewed even one trance artist for the piece, and you know maybe done a quick google and found out that it never went away.
