The Orange Is The New Black Star will play Ushuaïa on 2nd August
Australian actress Ruby Rose, has seen a meteoric rise to fame since appearing in the hit comedy Orange Is The New Black. After showing her acting prowess on the Netflix original series, the 29 year old revealed she has been working as a DJ long before hitting our laptop screens.
Last month she signed to Avicii's management company, Connected Artists, and now it seems they're making good on their promise to take her DJ career to new heights. The androgynous DJ has already attracted huge crowds as shows in Australia and the US, so it was only a matter of time before she'd pop-up in Ibiza. Although the method in which she's making her debut is still pretty shocking.
She's set to join Avicii, Zedd and Cazette in one of the island's most infamous clubs, Ushuaïa. Whether she has the skills to impress The White Isles' hardened clubbers remains to be seen, but it seems like she's certainly not afraid of jumping in at the deep end.
Ruby Rose is just the latest in a long line of TV favourites to enter the DJ game, with Hodor from Game of Thrones, Walter White's son and Stringer Bell all making moves in the dance world over the past year.
