Before he supports the legendary Ferry Corsten this Friday at The Gallery, Jacob Van Hage, runs us through his top five tracks of the moment
Ferry Corsten – "Punk"
JVH: One of the many classics, I know - but this one is top of my list. The beats, the rhythms and the sound is still fresh. A few years back Arty did a cool remix which I also play a lot, but nothing beats the original which changed my view on dance music the moment I first heard. And to be on the Label and in Ferry's management now completes the picture for me!
Bart Claessen - "Amazonia"
Since Bart started his own label and released his own music on it, I’m hooked on his sound and originality. When i play this track called Amazonia, it takes me back to the days of Trance - but also gives me the power of today’s floor fillers that I need in a set! Amazing track plus it was a free download!
Audien - "Hindsight"
Another masterpiece which i play almost every time. For those into harder styles and think I'm only into the rough stuff, I have a weakness for beautiful melodies , build ups and total eargasms of euphoric drops. This is for me, the one that can lift off your set and prepare the crowd for a grand finale. Play it loud please!
Deniz Koyu and Don Palm – "Lift"
When I go into a progressive state of mind, this is always one of those that will give you goosebumps when it drops. In the mashup version I play (with Sunrise by Tommy Trash), it's just so good! One of my favourite tracks since the release.
Holl and Rush (Hollandrush) – "Napoleon"
Don't think I forgot about that tough side! Such a powerful drop, it works every time and makes you want to fist pump and jump around. Amazing production by these young upcoming guys!
