Doorly Basement Jaxx Classics Mix by Ministry Of Sound on Mixcloud

Doorly returns to Ministry of Sound on Saturday 2nd May for the second of his Doorly & Friends residencies of 2015.

This time he's gone above and beyond to secure a crack team of heavyweight talent, Headlining the event will be none other than UK icons, Basement Jaxx.

To get us in the mood for what's sure to be one of the biggest nights of the year, Doorly has put together this exclusive mix, taking in his all time favourite Basement Jaxx tracks.

Here's what he had to say about the mix:

Doorly: For the second in the series of my Doorly & Friend's parties at the mighty Ministry of sound its a huge honour to follow that epic party with Cajmere with another all time hero act of mine in Basement Jaxx! I'm sure to most these guys need no introduction but to those who are not familiar with their incredible multi-decade spanning body of work allow me to educate you!  I've been a DJ for around 17 years now and since I first started and was being introduced to electronic music right up until now these guys have always consistently been present in my record box. Some of my finest moments as a DJ and general music fan were because of the music made by these two boys from Brixton.

I also owe the Jaxx a big thank you for allowing me to remix their track "Raindrops" when i was a TOTALLY unknown producer, with zero releases under my belt and allowing / trusting me to have the parts to the track and then signing the two remixes that I did of it which then went on to possibly be the biggest known remix in my career to date and instantly winning me a fan base in America and beyond.

So I thought to mark this special event on the 2nd of May at Ministry of Sound, I would do a Mixtape for you of my favourite all time Basement Jaxx tracks and remixes to give those who don't know a brief insight / history lesson and those who do know a nice memory evoking reminder of just how amazing these boys are : )
