California's biggest rave has just unleashed a totally batshit trailer for Hard Summer
Music has always leant itself to creating great mockumentaries - Spinal Tap, I'm Still Here, the "Needs More Cowbell" sketch. Now Hard headliner, Dillon Francis, has starred in his own mocukmentary which sees him become an egotistical spoons player hellbent on chart domination.
The video, which splices interview footage with Enter The Void-esque graphic lineup announcements, is a roller coaster ride through musical egos, celebrity cameos and pounding big room beats that serves as a tongue in cheek send up of EDM.
The Hard brand is fast becoming one of the biggest names in dance music on US soil. After diversify from the unfortunately-titled annual LA rave, Hard Fest, the team are now behind Hard Summer, Day of the Dead and the Holy Ship! cruise.
This year's lineup sees a diversification from the usual headliners, with soppy rapper The Weeknd, alongside big beat pioneers, The Chemical Brothers and usual suspects Porter Robinson and Dillon Francis on the Saturday. With Ultra-slayers Jack U joined by Chromeo Ratatat and Die Antwoord on the Sunday.
Have a watch above and if you're planning on being in Southern California around 1st and 2nd August, you can still nab some tickets here.
