We catch up with Angry Man ahead of his Gallery debut supporting M.I.K.E. PUSH on Friday 17th April
Hi there, how’s it going today?
All good thanks!
Firstly congrats on your Gallery debut this week, how did you hear the news?
It was through my agent, he got in touch personally to say I was playing at The Gallery – Ministry of Sound.
Where did the name ‘Angry Man’ originate from?
My temper, I have a pretty short fuse!
What excites you most about playing in The Box for the first time?
I’ve actually been there clubbing before! The sound system is sweet and the atmosphere is electric – everything you want from a club. Plus not to mention it’s dark as fuck!
Please describe the concept behind the Angry Man sound?
It’s all about the music and that’s what I want people to see. I want The Gallery faithful to hear cool tracks and take people on a journey – mainly into the darkness.
Let us know one of your own productions, which will definitely be played on Friday?
I have two new tracks I will definitely be playing. Two new originals – "Nightcrawler" which has recently featured on the Ministry’s new Trance Nation compilation mixed by Simon Patterson. The other is another orginial track called Muse – which has recently been signed to Mental Asylum.
What software did you use to produce this, any special tools or plugins?
Logic and good old Sylenth mainy!
Finally, in Gallery tradition, use three words to describe your forthcoming set?
Dark, slamming, beats.
