Eddie Halliwell has just been announced as the special guest for The Gallery's 20th Birthday Party this Friday. We caught up with him before his set and got his top five tracks of the moment
Jerome Isma-Ae - "Smile When You Kill Me 2015"
Eddie Halliwell: This one comes around again, originally released in 2009 and a track which I featured on the 2010 Cream Ibiza compilation. Jerome is an artist who manages to achieve crossover appeal with his productions, receiving support from trance, techno and house DJs. You can understand why when you listen to his brilliantly crafted work!
Cirez D - "Ruby"
Still dropping this one, released at the back end of last year from one of my favourite producers - Prydz under his Cirez D alias. This techno belter shows his darker side and is a great addition to his Mouseville label.
Alex Di Stefano - "Escape From The Past"
This guy has been smashing out some belters recently and is on fire. An Italian DJ/producer who is doing a great job combining trance and techno, Releasing on a wide variety of labels from Umek’s 1605 to John 00’s JOOF. Check out the latest offering from Alex as he delves into a moment of euphoria in the break then back to his signature rolling techno.
DJ Misjah & DJ Tim - "Access" (John Askew Remix)
An iconic anthem originally released back in 1995 and brought up to date with the Askew treatment. Hearing this brings back memories of my early clubbing days, dusting off my spot on the dancefloor. Check out this pounding acid monster!
Sam Paganini - '"Dusty"
Another DJ/producer from Italy who has been around since the early nineties and is responsible for the 1997 classic ‘Zoe’. Over recent years Sam has had some great releases on Hawtin’s Plus8 and Sven’s Cocoon. There’s so much great music out there today… spend a little time digging online and you can unearth some gems like this. Check out the big dirty bass on this techno belter!
Eddie will be the very special guest at The Gallery's 20th Birthday Party this Friday.
