We've teamed up with JDO, one of the UK’s top creative agencies, to launch the JDORaw15 student competition
Once again, JDO are on the hunt for the UK’s best emerging design talent and have opened the opportunity to all students undertaking UK graphic design and 3D structural design courses in 2015.
Design students who enter this year’s Raw15 competition will have the chance to see their design on the cover of this year's edition of our flagship compilation series, The Annual. Alongside seeing your design on the shop shelves, there will also be a cash prize and a two month paid placement at JDO.
An illustrious panel of judges including industry heavy weights, DJs and creative gurus have already been confirmed and will review each and every entry before announcing the 10 JDORaw15 finalists.
Judges include Felix Buxton of Basement Jaxx, Paul Drake and Ben Oates, executive creative directors at JDO and Sarah Nichols, APAC marketing director for Jack Daniel’s.
Paul Drake, executive creative director and co-founder of JDO said: “We were blown away by the talent in last year’s competition and hope that the standard this year will be even higher!”
Students can register their interest by hitting ‘like’ on the JDORaw Facebook page. The agency will then make contact to finalise details and confirm the brief. The Raw team will be touring the country over the coming weeks to launch the competition and then subsequently running surgery sessions where JDO creative directors will help students finesse their entries.
Judging will begin in June this year and will culminate in a party in London when the winner’s name will be announced. JDO and Ministry of Sound are aiming for the compilation to hit shelves in November 2015.
Closing date for entries is 1st May 2015. Those who are interested should go to the JDORaw Facebook page for more information.
