A look back at the careers of two of France's biggest exports.

A look back at the careers of two of France's biggest exports before they headline an extra-special Valentines at Ministry of Sound

Cassius are one of the great French dance acts, pioneers of the French Touch sound in the late nineties alongside acts like Daft Punk and Etienne de Crecy, their sound incorporates equal parts French house and Balearic Beats. Lets take a look through the tunes that made them icons.

Cassius - "1999"

In the tradition of French Touch, every track on the Cassius' debut album, 1999, was jam-packed with samples from 70s and 80s disco and funk. The title track was no exception and featured a sample of Donna Summer's "(If It) Hurts Just A Little".

Cassius - "Feeling For You"

"Feeling For You" was the biggest hit from their debut and arguable one of their biggest successes to date, peaking at No.6 in the US Dance Chart. And that sample? It's "All This Love That I'm Giving" by Gwen McCrae.

Cassius - "La Mouche"

The third single from their debut album samples "Thousand Finger Man" by Candido.

Cassius - "I'm A Woman"

Their second album, Au Reve was a departure from the French touch stylings of 1999 and focused on a straighter house sound. The duo invited a number of guest vocalists into the studio, including disco queen, Jocelyn Brown on "I'm A Woman".

Cassius - "The Sound Of Violence"

The second single from their sophomore full length, "The Sound Of Violence" is their only track to date to top the US Official Dance Chart.

Cassius Ft. Ghostface Killah - "Thrilla"

One of their more unlikely team-ups, "Thrilla" has Wu-Tang's Ghostface deliriously spitting bars over an unforgiving four to the floor beat.

Cassius - "Toop Toop"

The lead single from third album, 15 Again, "Toop Toop" features a Clash-style guitar riff and was used by David Guetta on his Fuck Me I'm Famous - Ibiza 06 compilation.

Cassius - "Eye Water"

Six years before Pharrel teamed up with Daft Punk for "Get Lucky", He hopped on vocal duties for French House's other dynamic duo, on 2006's "Eye Water".

Cassius - "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes"

2009 and Cassius announce their return with the electroclash-channeling, "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes" on Paris's prestigious Kitsune record label.

Cassius - "I Love You So" (Skream Remix)

The duo's debut on legendary French label, Ed Banger, The Rawkers EP, featured the 2010 anthem "I <3 U So", but it was the Skream remix that set dancefloor's across the world on fire.

Cassius will be headlining Valentines Day at Ministry of Sound with support from Clara 3000 and Aeroplane.
