Sean Tyas counts down his top five trance tracks of the moment before his appearance this Friday

Visiting for the first time since November 2013, Sean makes an eagerly anticipated return this Friday. His tough trance synths never fail to tantalise The Box and this Friday will be no different, especially after a thirteen month hiatus...

Solarstone - "Nothing But Chemistry Here" (Sean Tyas Remix)

Sean Tyas: One of my favourite remixes I have ever done, and in trying something new for me - ended up with with one of my favourite tracks ever to play out.  The acid line that drops is obviously very inspired by the famous New Order Confusion Remix, and then goes into sounds that are just pure edge.

R.E.L.O.A.D. - "Now I’m Disturbed"

Pretty much what it says on the tin.  A track that has a very asylum-like quality to it, really one of the darker tracks I’ve heard in the last few months, and I just love it.

Lunar3 - "Reboot"

This track really has it all, a great intro and very simply melody that is totally catchy but still pushes you forward.

Sean Tyas - "Try To Hold On"

A fun track I used for a free giveaway to the fans, its full of easter eggs - as in old samples.  Plus its got some new face-ripping acids I whipped up just for this single.

AERO 21 - "Freedom"

Just like Lunar3 above, I think this one nails the feel of what I enjoy about trance melodically.  Subtly but also drive.

Sean Tyas will be supporting Giuseppe Ottaviani on Friday 30th January at The Gallery.
