Hi Marco, how are you?

Good, thank you.

Friday will be your first appearance for The Gallery at Ministry of Sound, but have you played the club before?

Yes I played at Ministry three years ago. It has definitely one of the best soundsystems in the world – I love the club! I also played many times for The Gallery when it was at Turnmills, it was always great fun.

Some Gallery fans may not be familiar with your techno sound, will you break them in gently?

I hope so, Techno never dies! Look at Ibiza, the best and coolest nights all do Techno right?!

What made you choose specifically the Techno genre of electronic music?

Because it’s a timeless sound to me. Not commercial, not cheesy - but a consuming, non-stop driving, sound that should keep you going on the dance floor…

You recently headlined the I Love Techno festival in Belgium, what challenges come with playing to these larger arena spaces?

I’ve played many times in fact! It’s in my homeland and it's always special to play in your home country, at a big event with over 25,000 people – the challenge is to keep them interested and dancing.

What will be the next project to be released on your MB Elektronics label?

A lot of fresh, new and young upcoming talents, mostly from Italy are in the pipeline - such as Simone Tavazzi from Rome with a massive EP. Then also Mattew Jay from Venice… From the UK we have Hans Bouffmyhre with a great EP and a new one from myself soon too. Plus I just started my second new label ‘MBR limited’ on vinyl, which is deeper and darker techno, in the direction of the 'Berghain’ sound.

Early candidate for breakthrough artist of 2015?

So many people to name, this year was for me was definitely ‘Recondite.’ But I hope next year for my boys Filterheadz, Jon Rundell, Ramiro Lopez and I think Mattew Jay too.

One track you will definitely be playing on Friday is…?

Of course my own tunes, for me the BOMB of the moment is Marc Romboy - "Iceland" (Laurent Garner Remix).

Finally, a Gallery tradition, use three words to describe your forthcoming set?

ENERGETIC, FORWARD, WILD! Be prepared and come full of energy please!

Marco will be supporting Vitalic on Friday 28th November at The Gallery
