Ahead of Benny Benassi’s performance at Ministry of Sound's 23rd birthday on Saturday 20th September we take a look back at his career as one of the world’s most successful producers and DJs.

KMC - "I Feel So Fine" Ft. Dhany 

Under the name KMC, Benny Benassi released his first track, "I Feel So Fine" Ft. Dhany in 2001. The track reached the top of the charts in his native Italy, before going on to reach No.1 in the UK Dance Music Chart.

Benny Benassi - "Satisfaction"

Benassi’s next track “Satisfaction” catapulted him to worldwide fame in 2003. Moving from house to electro, Benassi gained praise from DJs such as Carl Cox and Roger Sanchez. The raunchy video for this track has since become iconic, as Ministry of Sound replaced the original one with a video of models demonstrating how to safely use power tools.

Public Enemy - "Bring The Noise" (Benny Benassi Remix)

In 2007, Benny Benassi released a remix of “Bring the Noise” by Public Enemy. This track won a Grammy for best (Dance) Remix. This remix marked the collaboration between dance music and hip hop. The video, by Eclectic Method, features footage of Chuck D, Flavor Flav, and N1W's performing live.

Benny Benassi - "I Am Not Drunk"

In 2008, Benassi released his next track “I Am Not Drunk” which was released off his album “Rock ‘n’ Rave”. He continues to develop his distinctive electro sound.

Madonna - "Celebration"

In 2009, Benassi collaborated with Madonna on the huge hit “Celebration”. This huge track reached no.1 over the world, with a video which has had over 29 million YouTube hits.

Benny Benassi Vs Iggy Pop - "Electro Sixteen"

In 2010, Benassi released the track “Electro Sixteen” Vs Iggy Pop. The track includes Benny’s distinctive electro sound with Iggy Pop’s vocals. Benassi released an experimental video for this track, which celebrates the dance music culture in New York. The video does not contain video footage, but a rapidly changing montage of still images. Over 15,000 photos are included of Benassi’s set at the Electric Zoo Festival.

Benny Benassi - "Spaceship" Ft. Kelis, and Jean Baptiste

Later in 2010, Benassi released track “Spaceship” with Kelis, and Jean-Baptiste. The track charted at No.18 and received the accolade Song of the Day on, who described Benassi’s performance as “tight and melodic”. As the title suggests, the futuristic video features Benassi, Kelis, and Jean Baptiste taking a journey through space.

Chris Brown Feat. Benny Benassi - "Beautful People"

In 2011, Benassi produced the no.1 hit “Beautiful People” on Chris Brown’s album F.A.M.E and Benassi’s album Electroman. The track features Brown’s vocals over euphoric synths. Other huge hits of Benassi’s album include “Cinema”, “Electroman” and “Spaceship.”

Chris Brown - "Don't Wake Me Up"

In 2012, Benassi collaborated with Chris Brown again on their huge track “Don’t Wake Me Up”. This was released on Brown’s album Fortune  and reached No.2 in the UK.
