London Grammar win Ivor Novello

"Strong" won in the Best Song Musically and Lyrically category.

The trio fought off stiff competition to take home the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

We're proud to announce that London Grammar have just won the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for their song, "Strong". The track was nominated in the Best Song Musically and Lyrically category at the awards which celebrate excellence in British songwriting. 

"Strong" beat off stiff competition from "Best of Friends by South London indie band, Palma Violets and "Love Me Again" by fRudimental collaborator, John Newman. 

Now in their 59th year, the Ivor Novello Awards celebrate the very best in British songwriting and are judged by the songwriting and composing community. Former winners include Mick Jagger, Elton John, Kate Bush, Emile Sane, Freddie Mercury and Radiohead.
