We are 21. Ministry of Sound turns 21 years old on September 15th with Calvin Harris & Michael Woods blowing out the birthday wishes.
Over the last few years Ministry of Sound has embraced the ever changing sound of electronic music and after celebrating the 20th anniversary in 2011 with a weekend dedicated to the past and present, this year ‘We Are 21’ concentrates on the future. On Saturday 15th September, Michael Woods label Diffused Music will host the main room for the first time with special guest Calvin Harris making his debut at the club, showcasing the next generation of EDM.
Michael Woods is somewhat of an ambassador for the club after signing up as a resident back in 2010 and is now one of the world’s most in demand djs across Australia, America and Europe. His story begun right here in South London where his next chapter is about to begin as his label Diffused Music embarks on a new journey hosting the main room for the first time ever. Celebrating this momentous occasion the label & resident honcho has called upon Calvin Harris to ensure this birthday is alike no other. The biggest man in dance music right now, Calvin has had an incredible start to the year and from the look of it, his career is only just beginning. With a new album coming out in October ‘We Are 21’ is the perfect event to see him play before he elopes on a worldwide tour. The rest of the line up comes in full force from our residents, who have been picking up incredible support from Roger Sanchez, Mark Knight , Laidback Luke and many more. These guys are the next generation of djs that the club have taken on to rise to the next level much the same as Mr Woods himself.
