Chris Lake has been living the ultimate DJ dream in such a  short space of time. From playing the hottest shows around the globe, producing some of the biggest chart toppers to even having time to start his own successful record label Rising Music, it’s safe to say the past 5 years have been rather successful!

With only 4 days to go until we bring head to Miami, we caught up with Chris Lake before he blazes the Ministry of Sound stage on Nikki Beach

Hi Chris! Where are you in the world right now....

I'm in my place in Los Angeles, chilling with my family.  It's been a good day :)

What you most looking forward to about Miami?

Well it's the excitement of meeting all my friends in the industry in the sun, enjoying great music, eating great food, and getting some down time in between it all.  I've got some great shows on there with my friends, like playing @ Set with John Dahlback for a Rising vs Mutants party, then doing a summer camp themed pool party at the SLS with Michael Woods, TJR, GTA, Congorock, Crookers, and Brazzabelle.

Are there any producers/DJs you’re most looking forward to meeting at WMC?

I've yet to physically meet the GTA guys, so that will be exciting to catch up with them. They're making some amazing beats right now.  I'm also excited to see TJR spin too.  He always rocks it

Can you give us a sneak peak at the tracks you’ll be playing during your set on Nikki Beach?

Well, let’s just say there's lots of new music to be premiered from myself, and the Rising Music artists like TJR, Nom De Strip, Tujamo etc

Tell us the 3 essential items you’ll be taking...

Sunscreen, a wig so I can walk the streets anonymously, and my manager, to fend off ass holes :)

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I can read minds

After you take to the stage with us on 23rd March, what does the rest of 2013 hold for Chris Lake?

Lots of tunes coming up from me on Ultra records, along with more releases on Rising Music from TJR, Nom De Strip & Tujamo, who are some of the most exciting producers doing the rounds right now. Their sound is sick.  I always get excited listening to their new tracks they send me
