A few months ago we launched a competition to find a brand new Tours Resident DJ to add to our already impressive roster of global DJs. We collaborated with our friends at Mixmag who put an article in their February issue to help us in our hunt. After receiving a staggering amount of mixes, we managed to whittle it down to our top 5 favourites, who we then invited to play in the Baby Box on Saturday 9th April to battle it out. Our 5 finalists were Shazza, Kevin Hoodless, The Saxton Brothers, Ricochet Musica and Igor Project – each played a killer 1 hour mix to showcase their talent, putting on an incredibly impressive performance and wowing the judges with their skills and adaptability.
After sleeping on the decision and many discussions within the team on Monday morning, we finally managed to pick our winner who is....Igor Project!! We felt that he displayed awesome technical skills, played a banging set that encompassed a variety of music, he was very adaptable and read the crowd perfectly, getting everyone really going for it on the dancefloor! Plus he's an all-round nice guy. Well done, Igor!
