What’s up Ministry of Sound, this is Roger Sanchez coming at you from Los Angeles right now. Over the past few days I’ve been in the studio finishing up my forthcoming ‘Flashing Lights’ ep and working with the amazing V Squared Labs – we’ve been filming some new visuals for my Release Yourself 2011 gig in Miami on March 23rd at Mansion. The shows at Miami Music Week are always a highlight, and I'm especially excited this year because Ministry of Sound will be presenting the show with me. The new Release Yourself experience is going to be insane and I’m really excited! Last year was amazing and I can’t wait to do it all again this year! Expect the unexpected with the amazing visuals, stunning décor and some seriously hot sounds...
Miami kicks off a North America tour for me which is going to take me all over the USA and Canada, but before that I’m also going to be returning to my residency at Ministry of Sound in London on Saturday 12th March for Release Yourself London-style, with a very special guest who will be performing with me one of my upcoming trax from the ep! I’m really looking forward to seeing you all there - I love playing Ministry of Sound as it has one of the best sound systems in the world and also some of the best crowds! I take my inspiration from seeing the crowds at my gigs, hearing different sounds, meeting fans – and London has some of the best music and most up for it clubbers.
While I’m in London I’ll also be promoting my new single with Far East Movement , ‘2Gether’,due for release on Ministry of Sound Recordings on 20th March. We recently ran a competition to remix the track and have had so many great entries it’s unreal – there’s a lot of talent out there! I’ll be picking the winner next week and announcing them during a video interview at Ministry of Sound on the Saturday, which will be up on Ministryofsound.com the following week. So stand by!
