The Gallery Introducing…Arty
Friday 28th Sep 2012
Sep 28th  – Arty

A Gallery debut for Arty is long overdue. Especially after responsible for one of the standout performances, at Brixton Academy for Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 2012 weekender. A stunning UK and London debut, crowned by those famed crossover anthems such as ‘Around The World’ and ‘Mozart.’ Though not to say excelling in these vibrant peak time pieces, indicates Arty is abandoning the trance trail.

The Russian’s legacy cannot be ignored, ‘Hope’ back in 2009 giving inspiration to all trance lovers - with its luscious and sweeping synths. Then bang up to date with Arty’s daring remix of ‘Hate Is Killer.’ Evidence enough of this young prodigy’s talent, transforming Moonbeam’s ambient piece into a raging trance monster. So good, Paul Oakenfold handpicked it for his showpiece July Essential Mix. Arty is ‘excellence in the art of sound,’ akin to mesmerising stadium sized crowds with his energetic and engaging performances.

Arty talks about his transition, from bedroom to bona fide superstar DJ. Here we go…

Interview – NO_ID
Debut number two, this duo's open minded and big room sound - fitting perfectly with The Gallery’s renowned ethos.

Hi guys. Firstly congrats on your Gallery debut! What have you heard about the night?
Thank you so much! Really looking forward to this special night in London. Well to be honest we have never been to a Gallery event before but we sure as hell know that all the big guys are playing there so we are really eager to come down and play a refreshing NO_ID set!

The Gallery is renowned for its open minded crowd. Will you be adapting your music policy at all – which is already renowned for a wide ranging sound?
Expect some proper NO_ID bangers but we are definitely going to try out some new stuff that we have not played before, so the crowd should definitely keep their ears pealed!

Tell us about the best moments, from your recent USA tour?
It was crazy! We had a fantastic experience headlining in some of the best clubs throughout North America over the last two weeks. It’s such an awesome feeling when people are coming down to the club especially for us. Some tour highlights: In Washington we played in a packed club called Glow and the crowd was super hyped. After we played our last track they all screamed together ‘NO_ID! NO_ID! NO_ID!’ … Goosebumps! We were really excited about our gig in Club LIV, Miami.  Although we had heard some good stories from our DJ colleagues, the experience was way beyond our expectations! Such a beautiful club! They had this super big CO2 gun, which we used to shoot CO2 at people, haha! The final gig of our US tour was headlining in XS Las Vegas. Last time we were there we played a warm up set for NERO, this time we played prime time and that was wow! In Las Vegas they party like if it’s their last day on earth, they are so crazy over there!

What’s coming up next in the studio from NO_ID?
We are busy with some really exciting things at the moment. We are finalising our Axtone single and we are busy with a bunch of other promising stuff! Unfortunately we can’t say too much about it yet but we will definitely be releasing new stuff soon!

Finally in Gallery tradition, three words to describe your forthcoming set?
Start the Train!
