What’s been your biggest tune, not one or your’s(!), of the Summer so far?
Daddys Groove "Turn The Lights Down" out on Jack Back Records. The energy in this record is just insane and when the bass line drops it tears up the floor! Definitely one of the biggest tunes in Ibiza this summer.
Describe your DJ moves in the booth? Are you more of a head down and concentrate DJ? Or more of a fist pump kinda guy?
I like to bounce around in the DJ booth and get right in to it. I'm also partial to a good fist pump on those rare occasions where I do hit the dancefloor.
We’ve all seen some pretty crazy things on certain DJ riders recently. What would you really like to put on yours haven’t got the nerve???
A private jet to whisk me away after the gig would be nice! I don't mind travelling but it would be great to cut out the tedious airport stuff and get straight to the next party, or home.
Once again you have mixed the latest Kinky Malinki album, will you be dropping any of the tracks selected at Ministry of Sound this weekend?
I certainly will! The track listing is a true reflection of what I play and each one of those tunes has been dropped at some point these past few months. One of my sure fire bangers is "Next" from Dutch house producer Bobby Burns, which I like to open with as it gets the crowd going straight away. And of course there will be plenty of my own material including the recent release "5AM Life" which features on the compilation.
You’re playing at our London to Ibiza party. Can you tell us your favourite hotspots in both LDN and IBZ? It can be a favourite restaurant, shop, whatever.
My favourite spots in London are: Kyoto Sushi for the best Japanese food and sashimi, Size for the freshest kicks around (I'm a sneaker freak) and Art Republic for wicked urban art. I was actually just in Ibiza last week and had amazing meals at La Olivia in the Old Town (best goats cheese I've ever tasted) and El Pulpo on Talamanca Beach, where they serve only flame grilled meat and vegetables that taste out of this world!
