The Gallery Interview - Fri 3rd June: Cosmic Gate

Hi there guys, good day?

Yes, it’s definitely a good day! Spring at home in Germany, is fantastic this year.

How was your last Gallery visit, for your ‘B2TF’ launch?

It was amazing, from the meet and greet till hanging out after the show - we enjoyed it a lot!

Friday being the Judgement Sundays launch, you play the Ibiza night three times this Summer. What are you most looking forward to?

Ibiza is always amazing.  The vibe of the place touches you as soon from stepping out of the airport terminal. It’s the perfect combination of sun and fun (plus clubbing).

Similarities between Ibiza and the Ministry Of Sound are…?

The club vibe.

What’s coming up from the studio?

We’re in the process of making a new album, which is hopefully due for release in September.

Friday will be a beachwear fancy dress theme…Your favourite item of beachwear is?

Some shorts and shades - that’s all we need...

Which other Ibiza club are you hoping to check out this summer?

We hope to go to all the major clubs at some point. It’s good to do a bit of club hopping, for listening to other DJs.

One tune you will definitely be playing on Friday is?

Arty  - Across The World.

Prediction for tune of the summer?

Swedish House Mafia - Save The World.

Finally in good old Gallery tradition, three words to describe Friday’s set?!

Hands in air…

Here at Ministry of Sound HQ in London we're recovering from a long Bank Holiday weekend and trying to ease ourselves into the working week - and our latest compilation, Chilled Afterhours, is just the thing! The latest edition in our wold-famous Chilled Series, Afterhours is an alternative take on previous albums, combining a mixture of genres & introducing new artists to create a brand new laidback listening experience.

CD1 is on a chilled out dance tip, showcasing fresh new talent in the form of Jamie XX (including his hugely hyped remix of Adele,) plus brand new exclusives from Skream & Yasmin (both Radio 1 playlisted). CD2 features the best of the bands including Radiohead, Hurts, Beach House & MGMT to name but a few, while on CD3 we revisit some trip-hop classics. And over the course of the album, you'll more than likely recognise certain tracks from well-known advertising campaigns for KFC, Apple & Amazon Kindle.

Whether it's your afterparty, a laidback Sunday or like us the only way to start your working week, Chilled Afterhours provides the perfect downtempo soundtrack. Check out the TV ad below for a taster!

Chilled Afterhours is out now - get your copy here.
