We put out that Maggie flyer, Rulin’ got rollin’ and our twisted friends from Torture Garden came out to play at the club. The KLF burnt £1 million in the name of art, Whigfield reassured us that Saturday Night was alright, Wet Wet Wet refused to stop telling us that Love Is All Around and East 17 and Jimmy Nail reminded us why we were in the club dancing and not at home listening to the radio!

At the more rock n roll end of the spectrum, Blur's debut album Parklife went #1 and quadruple platinum, while Oasis' effort Definitely Maybe became the fastest-selling album in the UK (a record it held until 2006!). Across the pond, Kurt Cobain's suicide left music in mourning.

Dance music was going strong, represented by the likes of Atlantic Ocean - Waterfall, JX - Son Of A Gun and Livin' Joy - Dreamer...meanwhile a certain US DJ by the name of Erick Morillo was going undercover as Reel 2 Real. Sing it with us now: "I like to move it move it...you like to...MOVE IT!!!!" Yeahhh...

The Gallery: Hello there, how's your week been?

Lange: Hey!  It’s been pretty good thanks.  A busy one, but I’d have it no other way.

The Gallery: Your last visit was the 'Harmonic Motion' launch, back in July. Did you enjoy that night?

Lange:Thoroughly enjoyed the night.  But then I always enjoy The Gallery -  it sounds a cliché to say it, but it’s true!  I’ve got a lot of friends who come down to MOS whenever I’m in town, so it’s always great to catch up with everyone as well as playing my set of course.

The Gallery: 'Hindsight' being a wonderful thing, would you have done anything differently with the album?

Lange: The process of writing, releasing and promoting an album can be very intense and I definitely will tweak some things next time round, to make the process smoother.  My DJing schedule is looking even busier this year, so I think the key thing for me will be to manage my time even better to maximise studio time.

Lange: Have to say I’m itching to start work on the next one.

The Gallery: Latest track is 'All Around Me.' What did you use to produce software wise?

Lange: I’ve always been a Cubase user, and I only use Softsynths these days.  Favourites include Sylenth, Massive, Nexus, FM8, Juno 106, Imposcar.

The Gallery: What's next musically from the Lange stable?

Lange: My Harmonic Motion was quite a trancey album, so I’m doing a mix of stuff at the moment.  I’ve just started a new project alias, ‘Lange presents LNG’, the first single being ‘Brandalism.’

Lange: The reason for this is I feel it’s time for me to branch off a little.  Having a new alias for the more driving grooved/edgier stuff I also want to produce.  My DJing style has been leaning more and more towards the edgier stuff - and a new alias allows me to experiment further in this direction.  It’ll be a main focus this year, but saying that I already have a couple of Lange vocal singles in the pipeline too.

Lange: Although this is a ‘new alias’, some may remember my track from 2003 called ‘Intercity’ under the alias LNG.  I decided to recycle the name!

Lange:Also out this month is my single with Fabio XB on Armada, called ‘Electrify.’

The Gallery: Are there any special measures you take, to keep your 'Intercity' Podcast fresh and innovative?

Lange:I haven’t played around with the formula too much over the past couple of years.  I’m very passionate about making the show the best it can be, and ultimately the key thing is the music - I spend a lot of time listening to tracks searching for the ‘gold’ to include in the show!

The Gallery: You play an Indian tour next month – why do you think the scene is evolving so rapidly over there?

Lange: India is a huge country with so many big cities, and things have developed so fast!  They’re very passionate about music and dancing, so I’m not surprised clubbing has exploded over there.

The Gallery: Most preferred aspect of The Gallery?

Lange: It feels like a home fixture, the crowd are musically-open and educated, and the sound system takes no prisoners.

The Gallery: You're on the bill with Mr Corsten on Fri. How are you travelling on ferries though?

Lange: Actually, not great.  I had to endure an 8 (yes I said EIGHT) hour ferry crossing to Belfast last year - to get to a gig when the Icelandic volcano was doing its thing.  Even with good weather I didn’t feel too good - A couple of beers later and I felt better though.

The Gallery: Finally, three words to describe your forthcoming set – all beginning with 'L?'

Lange: Lacerating, Lappaceous, and of course Ludibund.
