Saturday 30th June – Basement Jaxx, DJ Sneak, cooly G

Ahh... it’s that time when we use the word ‘crossover’ because it sounds less offensive then ‘mash-up.’ Thank god for that craze dropping off the face of the planet. On Saturday 30th June, the club commends one of its more ‘crossover’ nights with Basement Jaxx headlining their somewhat carnival filled atmospheric parties in the Box joint by DJ Sneak and Cooly g.

Whether you have been out in London, Barcelona, Miami or anywhere else in the world for that matter over the last year or so you will have seen the revolution of DJ Sneak, the hero of house that has gained a new trend of followers from his earlier dj-ing days. Contradicting the rules of Basement Jaxx music, Sneak will tailor the night in a sophisticated manner with his deep and meaningful house. If you know your stuff then you will know that DJ Sneak is one of dc-10’s finest residents, a rarity to see at Ministry of Sound on a Saturday night. Forward thinking as the night plans to be, Cooly G makes her debut appearance in the Box, playing a sound ahead of her time. Picking up credit for her stance of stepping outside the box with her unique twist on house music, her intelligence of the scene and music is encrusted in her sets. Like it or love it you will be warped into a transformation of grooves.

In the 103, Connected makes a comeback after what feels a lifetime apart since the last time the brand took presence in the club. Regularly putting nights on at Cable, Jesse James has hosted Waif & Strays through to man of the moment Huxley, laying a strong musical foundation for the south London based promoter. On this occasion it will be the residents that spin through the 6 hours of madness but rest assured they mark the sound of London with promising tracks from the artists that we all love to hate. It is like capturing all the Seth Troxler’s of the dj world in a bottle, shaking it then letting them lose in the trusted second room. Banter.
