Growing up next to Loch Ness in Scotland, Karuva was born into an eccentric musical family – learning how to play electric guitar, drums, slap bass and freestyle piano- all before he had stubble on his face.
To feed his constant hunger for music and exploration, travelling took him to the party capitals of the world, opening his eyes and ears to the international house music movement. This buzz and thrill for house music became an addiction, cementing his direction in life.
Developing a sharp ear for the dance floor and a wealth of production skills, his own unique slant on house music was born – incorporating live instrumentation and drawing on influences from as wide as Jamie Jones to Jimi Hendrix.
As a producer, Karuva is new to the industry, unleashed on the world in February 2014. Since then, he's been featured by Mixmag and played in places like Bora Bora and Ibiza. Having supported Amine Edge, Karuva's music has been championed by artists including Erick Morillo and Roska. His latest track is signed to San Francisco imprint, Anabatic Records.
