Tech wizard James Zabiela will be bringing his technical wizardry to The Box
The Southampton DJ/producer will be bringing his signature fusion of techno and house along with his huge bag of technical equipment to wow the SE1 crowds. A diverse and skilful DJ, his sets will stun you with their complexity, yet still get you moving.
The last time James brought his technical expertise to Ministry of Sound he played to a packed out Saturday crowd in The Box after London's Field Day festival. He brought all sorts of toys and advanced tech to bring his set alive and had everyone in the place jumping. He really brings a uniqueness to DJing that is rarely seen, but don't take our word for it. Just ask UK producer Midland; “James has an uncanny knack of making everyone in the crowd feel as though he's DJing just for them. Once the music starts, it’s not him and them: its everyone.”
Joining James in The Box are one of the UK's hottest dance music duos, Leftwing & Kody. Considering the huge impact these two have had on the domestic music scene, it's hard to believe that it's a mere three years since they joined forces and released their first EP, Bump And Flex. Honoured by Mixmag as ones to watch in 2013 and awarded 'Best Breakthrough DJ' at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards that same year, these guys are on a serious projection. They've just recorded the latest in our flagship X mix series, check it out below.
Rounding out the main room lineup is one of the most exciting new producers to emerge from the UK Bass scene, Pedestrian. His eclectic DJ sets and diverse productions mark him out as having a remit far beyond the confines of one single genre. After early championing by Giles Peterson, Pedestrian began making a name for himself on the UK underground circuit and received a lot of buzz from artists and fans alike. You can check out what he has in store for the SE1 crowd by listening to an exclusive Christmas mix he recorded for our 12 Days of Mix Mas feature below.
