Defected Records are back In The House for the biggest New Year's Party in London
The days are growing shorter, the air is getting colder and Ibiza season is a distant memory, but as 2014 was surely one of the best years ever for dance music, we can't let it bow out without a bang!
We've teamed up with our friends Defected for a bumper edition of Defected In The House. They'll be bringing the best and brightest in modern house music, combining celebrated veterans and the hottest newcomers.
Headlining the event of the year will be house hero Noir. The Dane behind anthems such as "Angel" and "All About House Music" will be bringing his trademark darker house style to SE1 to see in the new year.
The Noir music head will share the top billing in The Box with German Nick Curly and will be supported by Spain's Hector Couto. The former previously held a residency at space Ibiza and has released on legendary label Cocoon. Hector Couto was last at Ministry of Sound in August, when he went B2B with his fellow countryman Cuartero, he also recorded an exclusive X mix, which you can listen to below.
Keeping up the pan-European theme of the lineup, Frenchman, Rodriguez Jr. will be bringing his exclusive live set to usher in 2015. Formerly one half of French duo, The Youngsters, Rodriguez produces everything from shimmering contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno. As renowned for his productions as he is for his DJing, he was approached by both Hugo Boss and Gucci to create music for recent campaigns.
And it wouldn't be Defected unless we had the big man himself, Simon Dunmore on the decks to give the crowd that true Defected Records soundtrack. He'll be joined by Defected's radio personality and mainstay, Sam Divine.
Finally the bill will be rounded out by infamous UK duo Copyright and one of our breakout stars of the year, Cristoph, who recorded one of our favourite ever Spotlight mixes, back in June.
