Hadouken!
UK electro-indie band Hadouken! are singer, writer and producer James Smith, synth player Alice Spooner, guitarist Daniel "Pilau" Rice, drummer Nick Rice and bassist Chris Purcell. Originally from Leeds in England, they formed in 2006 and swiftly rose to prominence in 2007, when their double A-side 'That Boy That Girl/Tuning In' caught the ears of Mike Skinner and Zane Lowe.
Since then Hadouken! have achieved both commercial and critical success with their albums 'Music For An Accelerated Culture' and 'For The Masses' (which reached the top 20), toured with the likes of Example, Professor Green, Plan B and Pendulum and earned a reputation as a live act not to be missed after playing a packed schedule of major festivals including Radio 1's Big Weekend, Carling Reading and Leeds, Underage and Relentless NASS. They've also continued to push musical boundaries as well as their own skills, and have remixed acts including Plan B and Bloc Party alongside producing their own music.
Their third album is currently under construction with fast rising drum and bass duo Xample and Lomax at the controls, and is due for release in 2012. Hadouken! are ready to destroy the UK once more and, with exciting new material to showcase, their latest productions look set to exceed all expectations.
