We sit down with Marco Lys ahead of the Kinky Malinki takeover this Saturday...
What’s been your biggest tune, not one or your’s!, of the Summer so far?
There are so many tracks that stand out in my sets so far, the one for me is Joris Voorn’s “Goodbye Fly”. Stunning Tune!
Describe your DJ moves in the booth? Are you more of a head down and concentrate DJ? Or more of a fist pump kinda guy?
Some say I've got sexy moves in the booth. My friends would say I like to cook pasta while doing head-spins on the cdjs.
We’ve all seen some pretty crazy things on certain DJ riders recently. What would you really like to put on yours haven’t got the nerve???
I'm a simple man. Just some naked girls dancing in the booth like Jim Morrison used to. Is that Kinky enough?
Were very pleased that you have mix the latest Kinky Malinki album, will you be dropping any of the tracks selected at Ministry of Sound this weekend?
It was a great opportunity and a real pleasure for me. All the tracks I’ve included originate from my sets so I will definitely be dropping a good few of them some this weekend!
You’re playing at our London to Ibiza party. Can you tell us your favourite hotspots in both LDN and IBZ? It can be a favourite restaurant, shop, whatever.
I’ve clocked up a list of so many memorable places to eat, drink and dance in Ibiza it's tough choosing just one. Ses Roques on Formentera is a cool hangout for sushi and a bit of disco dancing.
I consider London like my second home, I think I know it quite well. If you're treating yourself, take in some drinks and food at “Sketch”, close to Regent St. A bit expensive but worth it. A place I like too is Covent Garden, you can’t miss a jacket potato at a kiosk or neck down some beers until closing time!
