Saturday Sessions presents John Dahlback, Chris Lake and very special guest Laidback Luke on Saturday 13th March.
John Dahlback makes his 2010 debut on Saturday 13th March in the Box. The Swedish headliner, who has received a wealth of acknowledgment from the electronic music industry for both his sets and productions, has also quickly become one of the leaders of the pack for his releases on his co-owned Pickadoll Records. Holding back nothing as he cradles the decks for the first of his dates at Ministry of Sound, he celebrates the launch of his latest album ‘Moments.’ Currently rated at number 27 in DJ Mags ‘Top 100 DJ’s’ poll, Laidback Luke has proved a popular name on the circuit since first coming onto the scene back in 2002. Luke saw a successful 2009, having scored Beatports ‘Best Selling ‘Track of the Year’ and a collaboration with unstoppable trio, Swedish House Mafia. Currently working on his own parties under the umbrella of Super You& Me, this is the first of his dates at Ministry of Sound. Expect anything from heavily electro ridden beats to darker tech-house as he sets his own boundaries when playing a set. Joining him is Chris Lake, one of the most recognised artists in current times. Having broken onto the scene back in 2005 with his chart success he has gone from rags to riches producing some of the best house music the last decade has seen. His distinct forward thinking and cutting edge sound has seen him vary in style with his deep sets proving popular all over the world. Rounding off the main room action, he concludes this night of extraordinary talent.
In the newly renamed 103, Dutch sensation Don Diablo headlines inducing hectic and electro beats. Currently receiving a wave of support from some of today’s biggest artists, he has proved popular for his enthusiastic sets often involving him jumping up on the decks. Joined by residents We’re Not Cool! and Cosmonauts, the transformed room sees an overload of house, electro and disco.
